Sutter Homes Paneling
Sutter Homes Wine Tank Engineered Paneling
In 1975, while experimenting with a new wine at his struggling family winery, Bob Trinchero stumbled upon something that would put Sutter Homes on the map. A thousand gallons of bleed-off juice from a batch of Red Zinfandel wouldn’t ferment to dryness; instead, it maintained a light pink color and sweet flavor. Bob later tasted the stubborn batch and found the wine exceptionally good. Sutter Homes decided to bottle the new vintage, which made some serious waves in the wine community. By 1987, out of all the premium wines in the US, White Zinfandel was the best selling. This helped propel Sutter Homes onto the national scene and made them the second largest family-owned winery and fourth largest winery in the US.
Product Info
Our Sutter Homes tongue and groove is made of engineered wood backing with ⅛” Oak veneers from the wine tanks’ staves, with some of the Oak still stained from the wine. Horizontal dowel holes, wine staining, knots, and drilled-out knots filled with dowels are present. Due to dowel holes, this product is better suited as paneling but can be used as flooring and siding.
