There is a "Bug Tree" epidemic in our area, and occasionally we are able to purchase one of these dead or dying grandfathers for some of the finest finish wood anywhere.
Standing Dead Ponderosa Pine usually has 'Blue Stain' and Standing Dead Sugar Pine sometimes does as well. For years big saw mills paid less for 'Blue Stain' Pine but now a specialty market has grown from the unique and beautiful look of the product.
We often have slabs 2", 3", and 4" thick and 24" to 36" wide. Call for stock on hand.
